B.C. Rich Guitars at Total Guitar Buyer

B.C. Rich guitars was founded in the mid 1960's by Bernardo Chavez Rico who was best known as a classical guitarist and flamenco dancer! He started making acoustic guitars in his father's Los Angeles shop but eventually began branding his own acoustic guitars in 1966. By the end of the 1960's he started producing Gibson-type electric guitars but it wasn't long before his better known pointy designs started appearing.

Traditionally, B.C. Rich guitars have been noted for their through-neck solid body models that are typically pointy shaped and brightly colored. The most notable examples include the Mockingbird, Bich, Warlock, Ironbird, Wave and Stealth models.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, B.C. Rich guitars have been favored by heavy guitarists like Tony Iommi and Rick Derringer, perhaps as much for their onboard preamps as their original designs.
