Daisy Rock was founded in 2000 by Tish Ciravolo. Her mission was to empower female guitarists by offering them instruments that were purpose built with women firmly in mind. The company has grown quickly with a catalog that includes acoustic guitars, acoustic-electric guitars, electric guitars and electric basses.

Daisy Rock guitars are designed to get around the problem of standard guitars being too big and bulky for the female form. Ciravolo draws on her own experience playing bass as a teenager and is best explained in her own words:

"At times, I wanted to quit because I felt like maybe the instrument just wasn't for me, or that I wasn't good enough to play it. I've encountered so many female musicians who have experienced the same set of feelings and I truly believe this is why we have a lack of female guitar-playing musicians in popular music."

Daisy Rock addresses this problem by designing instruments specifically for girls. All Daisy Rock guitars feature slimmer necks to suit smaller hands, lighter weight to enhance playing comfort and a contoured body design to fit the female form.
