Squier Guitars at Total Guitar Buyer
Fender introduced the Squier brandname in the early 1980's
as a means of offering affordable Japanese-made versions of its
main models. This allowed the company to target the hungry
budget end of the market without damaging its hard-earned
Fender brandname.
Over the years Squier guitars have been manufactured in
various locations including Korea, India, Mexico, China and
Indonesia in a never ending bid to reduce production costs.
Despite this, many of the Squier models have proved to be
capable instruments that have served their target market
extremely well. Squier guitars such as the Venus, Jazzmaster,
Super-Sonic and Stagemaster proved to be excellent instruments
in the right hands.
